How to get your own NHS.net address

Breach notices continue to be “awarded” to contracts where performers and providers do not use NHS.net for sending by email details of patients.

It is now possible for all performers to have their own NHS.net email address and this can be set up on the provider’s practice email.

A leaflet has been produced headed Digitising Dentistry which provides details on how to do this.

The simple guide is as below:

  1. Go to https://portal.nhs.net/registration#/dentistry
  2. Complete registration pre-requisite questions
  3. Enter your dental practice details
  4. Create your shared mailbox and individual user mailboxes
  5. Activate NHS mail accounts from your welcome email
